After the 2018 eruption of Kīlauea, something extraordinary happened.

On December 6, 2024, Hawai‘i implemented new interim rules regulating hemp-derived products:
- Tinctures must contain ≤ 2.5 mg total THC per serving and ≤ 75 mg per container
- Delta-8 and other psychoactive isomers are included in the total THC count
This impacts full-spectrum CBD classification under Hawai‘i law
These policies, issued by Governor Josh Green and summarized here by the Hawai‘i DOH (PDF), require us to begin transitioning from full-spectrum to broad-spectrum CBD — while preserving potency, purity, and the healing intention of every bottle.
