Mikkel Bang on top in New Zeland

SNOW PARK, NEW ZEALAND: Teamrider Mikkel Bang (18) stole the whole show and the top of the podium in the first slopestylecompetition for the season 08/09 in Burton New Zealand Open tonigth.

He rode best in all runs and crushed all competition with impressing 92.83 points in the last round. The victory led him to the top of the TTR World Tour- ranking.

Really great to win in the opening of the season, Mikkel Bang was very happy with the competition this nigth: "I have prepared well this summer, and it is really nice to start the season like this. In addition to giving me a good starting point in the TTR-World Tour- ranking, it helps your confidence", says Mikkel.

Mikkel are entering a few other big tournaments in the next few weeks, and says: "Great with such a start!"

In charge of the Norewegian team, Vidar Nyhus, is not less happy: "Amazing presentation by Mikkel! He break some norms that tall riders (189 cm) kjørere can not ride stylishly. To win by 10 points in this competition is incredibly strong!

Mikkel is also promotion his own board series.

"I am spending som time down here to promote my new board series and to do some skating and surfing", says Mikkel, who together with the international boardproducer Burton has developed the boardseries LOVE.
